About Me:
I have over 20 years of experience in the food retail, catering, and hospitality industries, working both front and back of house. Around eight years ago, I transitioned into the nursery sector as an assistant chef, and it quickly became clear to me that I wanted to run my own nursery kitchen.
Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of nursery settings, gaining extensive experience and deepening my understanding of how to create meals that are both nutritious and appealing to young children.
As a mother, I bring personal insight into the weaning process, which helps me support children from their first tastes through to preschool age. I design menus that are low in salt and sugar, and I have a strong knowledge of allergens and intolerances, always offering suitable alternatives so that every child feels included and cared for.
Being the Head Chef at Monkey Puzzle allows me to combine my two great passions: food and children. I take pride in crafting culturally diverse, nutritious, and delicious menus that reflect and celebrate our vibrant nursery community.
I am deeply passionate about good food and cook with love and intention. I'm grateful for the opportunity to help shape children’s understanding and enjoyment of a healthy, balanced diet from an early age, working in close partnership with both practitioners and parents.
