Deputy Manager and EAL Coordinator

My passion for Early Years has been at the heart of my career from the very beginning. I started my journey in childcare at the age of 16 and quickly knew that supporting young children in their earliest years was where I wanted to make a difference. Within a year, I achieved my Level 3 Childcare qualification and gained valuable experience working with children across all age groups, from babies through to preschool.

After three and a half rewarding years as an Early Years Practitioner, I progressed to the role of Room Leader for the Explorers room. This role allowed me to combine my love of working with children with my passion for supporting and developing others. I enjoyed mentoring new team members, helping babies and their families settle confidently into nursery life, and creating a warm, nurturing environment where children felt safe, secure, and inspired to learn. Watching children grow in confidence and reach important developmental milestones is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role, and supporting our youngest learners to build strong foundations for the future remains a particular passion of mine.

My commitment to providing the highest quality early education led me to the role of Early Years Lead, where I worked closely with all classrooms to ensure the delivery of an engaging, ambitious, and child-centred curriculum. I am passionate about helping every child develop a love of learning and ensuring that each one is given the opportunities and support needed to thrive.

Today, I am proud to be Deputy Manager at Monkey Puzzle Hither Green. In this role, I am dedicated to supporting the continued success of the nursery while creating a positive, inspiring environment for children, families, and staff. I believe that when children feel valued, supported, and encouraged, they can achieve incredible things, and I strive to ensure this is reflected in everything we do.

Building strong, trusting partnerships with parents and carers is incredibly important to me, as I believe that working together is key to achieving the very best outcomes for children. I am also passionate about celebrating diversity and ensuring every family feels a genuine sense of belonging within our nursery community. As the nursery’s English as an Additional Language (EAL) Coordinator, I enjoy supporting children and families from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, helping to create an inclusive environment where every child is respected, celebrated, and empowered to flourish.
