Welcome to Monkey Puzzle Hither Green

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Hither Green, is proudly located in the heart of Hither Green and is just a short walk from Hither Green train station. This makes us well located for serving families in the London Borough of Lewisham.

Our sister branch, Monkey Puzzle New Cross has been established in 2018 and has been rated outstanding by Ofsted in 2022. Monkey Puzzle Hither Green is proudly owned by the same owner and operational team as New Cross. Both nurseries are part of an award-winning nursery group, offering high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old.

Adding to this, we tailor our care to suit your childā€™s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies aged three to twelve months, toddlers & tweenies aged thirteen months to thirty six months, and lastly preschool aged three to five years. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home-from-home feel.

During their Forest School Sessions, our Inventors had a great time using some spray bottles to experiment with the idea of Gravity!
The children took turns spraying water and the walls and watching the water drip down the wall. What a wonderfully simple experiment to introduce some science into their day!šŸ’¦šŸŒšŸ”¬

Our Inventors had a brilliant time mark making during this table top activity. The children had the opportunity to follow mark making patterns using their index fingers, whilst also practicing creating some of the letters from their names. These kinds of activities can be incredibly supportive of children's early literacy and writing skills.šŸ“āœšŸ¾ ... See MoreSee Less

All of our classrooms across the nursery have a regulation station. These areas are used to support our little ones building confidence with managing their own big feels with the support of their wonderful practitioners! A book that all our age groups find helpful within their regulation stations is the colour monster. Our little ones love using this story to support their understanding of different feelings. ... One of our Discoverer's favourite books at the moment is We're Going on a Bear Hunt. They had such a wonderful time exploring this table top activity and following along with the story.
