Key Practitioner

My name is Emma and I would describe myself as friendly, outgoing and creative with a real mixture of professions and life experience under my belt.

I recently made a huge decision to completely change career due to my love of working with children. I am so delighted to be working at Monkey Puzzle Hither Green with the Inventors (ages 3-5). It’s extremely enjoyable and rewarding and the fact that each day is different is great. I love working with this age group and have a real passion and natural enjoyment for understanding infants and children.

Throughout my career I have worked in a variety of industries that have been closely linked to children such as hairdressing and private dental.

A fun fact and something unique about me is I travelled the world working on cruise ships for six years which I thoroughly enjoyed and it taught me so much about culture, travel, the sea and also myself! It enabled me to gain a lot of experience working with different nationalities, and HNWI which I believe has carried me through my career path over the last 10 years.

During my time working and travelling the high seas I would often be away for 6-9 months at a time with a 3 month break. During my breaks I started babysitting and providing childminding and wrap around care for my best friend’s daughter to enable her to start her own business. It was extremely rewarding and I always dreamt of being a full time childminder.

I am so grateful I joined the Monkey Puzzle family- as the team are great, it’s run very well and there is an abundance of opportunity for me to grow and develop in this new career.
